My name is Sarah, I'm Alissa's younger sister. I run this website and The Justice for Alissa Movement. That is my favorite picture of me and Alissa. If you look closely you can see a small tear in her right eye. She was crying because she wanted to hold me, she was only four. Our older brother told her that if she did, she would most definitely drop me and kill me. She had a meltdown. Until, she was sat down and I was put in her arms... she never stopped fighting for me and I will never stop fighting for her.
It's been a crazy ride. Our father, is and always has been the only "person of interest" in this case. When I was 19 the police found that my father was hiding 26 pipe bombs and a manifesto for a mass murder plot. That day, the detectives on Alissa's case sat me down and told me that my father was a pedophile and a murderer. It took me awhile to believe he was guilty... but then I came around.
The plan was to prosecute him for her murder once he was released for the bombs. They told me that way, he couldn't combine sentences and serve less time. But, days before his release, the Phoenix Police Department reassigned the detectives that spent a decade of their lives dedicated to this case and told me they were not going to present this case to be prosecuted without a body. They refuse to look for that body. They recommended media coverage and that has been my mission ever since. 5 million+ media impressions later, this movement is becoming a force to be reckoned with. All because of people like you.
The circumstantial evidence in this case is overwhelming. There have been several no body cases tried and won. Several in Alissa's county. I am not asking for a precedent to be set. I'm asking for a chance at a trial. But, I can't do it alone. I need your help. Get involved now.
